[PPP-Raw] Super 19th Century Boy Takamaru 1-2

Piyo Piyo Productions presents: Super 19th Century Boy Takamaru 1-2 5/19/17 https://www.otakubell.com/ Project notes: This is the last of the first batch of disks that were donated to me for capture. Much like A Penguin’s Memory, I was not looking forward to this one. I thought it was some Wataru/Granzort looking shit. As it turns out, I was pretty close – same character designer. Unfortunately, I just hate this art style, though I will give it points for having some very unique background artwork. Unlike A Penguin’s Memory, watching this did not change my mind. However, my judgement may be clouded by my complete disdain for the character designs. I know I said back when I captured Radio City Fantasy I liked alternative art styles, but this was not what I had in mind. And in its defence, if I had seen KO Century Beast without subtitles, I probably wouldn’t have thought much of that either, but KO Century Beast is actually pretty solid. This series must have sold well, because a six-episode sequel was made (but I don’t have it). So, while this one isn’t for me, maybe you’ll like it? X264 and untouched high-bitrate DVD conversion for archival purposes.
